Shahid 1st Weekend - Disappointing

 ''Shahid'' is a non-starter film so it arrived without much expectations at box office as such films depend largely on word of mouth. Film had few things positive in favor as got backing of big corporate UTV which pushed the envelope with films like "The Lunchbox" and exceptional reviews from critics/festivals.

But sadly for cinema lovers and makers, film failed to grow at box office due to competition from biggie "Boss" and dull pre- diwali period. Film collected 26 lakhs on Friday followed by 28-30 lakhs on Saturday. Film should add further 32-35 lakhs on Sunday.

Film has collected close to 90 lakhs and even 1 cr nett weekend total is below par considering decent enough P & A. Film will find it tough on weekdays from here on.

Boss - 1st Weekend Worldwide Collection

Akshay Kumar starrer Film Boss was released on 16th October over 2750 screens; the film started decently and collected 12 crores. Further, film's occupancy dropped on next two days as being working day. Film sustained well in singel screen but remained below par in multiplex




The film improved slightly on Saturday and collected around 7 crores; film improved in multiplex but dropped in single screens. Further, it took decent jump on Sunday in single screen and multiplex and collection around 9 crores. The film finished 5 days extended weekend around 42 crores which is really below par for a hyped film. 




The film had got good reviews and positive word of mouth but unfortunately, it could not convert it into cash. The way film has performed on weekend, clears what will be future. Film will finished 1st week around 55-60 crores and lifetime around 70-80 crores with semi-hit status.

Besharam 8th days Collection

Besharam is an action comedy drama film directed by Abhinav Kayashap who had directed Salman Khan's starrer film Dabangg. The film is starrer Ranbir Kapoor, Pallavi Sarda, Rishi Kapoor and Nitu Singh. It was released on 2nd October, 2013. 


Film had good opening but negative reviews and negative public response. Film took huge drop on 2nd and 3rd day. Futher it took slight jump on Saturday and decent jump on Sunday but that was good enough. Film finished extended 5 days weekend with low figure.


Further, film showed continuous fall on weekday an collect poor amount  on each passing day. Now, it has finish 8 days run on box office and collected 51.60 crores and it will finish 1st week around 53 crores.

Jolly LLB finished 2nd week run on home box office. The movie was started slowly on opening day but show improvement later by positive word of mouth.
 it finished 2nd week around 28.50 crores on home box office and 31.60 crores worldwidely.

The movie had collected 19.50 crores in first week and 9 crores in 2nd week. Now it is out of most of cinema. Himmatwala has taken almost all screens. so it will finish lifetime around 30 crores.

Jolly LLB is unaffected with new release. The movie did good business in first week without any competition with any old or new films.  It finished first week around 20 crores. 


It did good business on 2nd weekend and collected about 3.80 crores which is better collection then two new films. 



It will finish 2nd week around 6 crores and lifetime collection would be around 26 crores.

Special Chabbis 6th Week Collection

Spceal Chabbis finished 6th week on home box office. The film managed around 72 crores on home box office. 

The movie was available on fewer screen in sixth week and managed around 0.48 crores. It enters 7th week which would be last week and it should manage about 25 lakhs.

Mere Dad Ki Maruti 1st Weekend Worldwide Report

Mere Dad Ki Maruti opened slowly in initial show but after getting good reviews and positive word of mouth it grew. the film managed about 1.10 crores on first day and 1.30 crores on Saturday. 

It can take huge jump on Sunday and finish first weekend around 4 cr.

Special Chabbis completed 5th week with  decent amount and bring total home box office collection in prestigious position. In the journey of 35 days, it has collected over 71 crores.

It should take big jump on Sunday and collection should come around 5 crores. Future is secured and it will finish first weekend with 12 crores on home box office.

"Saheb Biwi Aur Gangester Returns" completed first weekend and collected 11.25 crores on home box office. The movies begun with slow note on Friday and grew after postive word of mouth. 

The film did good business and expected to continue this performance on weekday. Expected first week collecion 17 crores. There is fair chance to get hit status.

Special Chabbis 4th Week Worldwide Collection

Special Chabbis has completed 28th day's journey of on home box office and collected 69.30 crores. The movie did good business in 4th week and added 2.25 crores.




It has also done good business on international box office and collected 13.50 crores. Now, total worldwide collection is 82.80 crores. It is still running on less screens.

I me aur Main & The Attack of 26/11 1st day collection

I me aur Main has taken poor opening on Friday. Occupancy in the theater was around 18-20%  and it collected about 3 crores. The movies is starrer John Abraham, Prachi Deshai and Chitragnda Singh. Performance is now, depending on word of mouth. 

The film should take some jump on Saturday and Sunday so that it can collected a reasonable amount o first weekend.



The Attack of 26/11 has also taken poor opening. Occupancy in the theater was around 15-20% and it should collect 2.5-3 crores.The movie is based on real incident happened in Mumbai in 2008. The movies is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Future is depending on word of mouth.



The movies should show jump on Saturday and Sunday to finish first weekend reasonable.

Kai Po Che 1st Week Collection

Kai Po Che did very good business in first week and collected 29.60 crores. The movie had started well on opening day and collected 4.55 crores. Further it grew by excellent reviews and very positive word of mouth. It will continue it pace in 2nd week and bring good numbers. 


Performance of the film is also very good on international box office and it has collected 7.50 crores. Now, worldwide collection is 37 crores plus. This is small budget film with three new faces so its performance would be considered very good. The movie received hit status.

Zila Ghaziabad 1st Week Collection

Zila Ghaziabad finished firs week with 16.25 crores. The movie was started with less then expectation on Friday and collected 03.75 crores. It was expected that it will improve on coming day but negative reviews and  mixed word of mouth diminish hope and the movie under performed entire week.


The movie lost big number of screens on 1st March due to two new films. The budget of film is more than 36 crores so even recover 75% of production cost seems difficult. Right now, the trend shows life time collection around 20 crores.

Zila Ghaziabad finished 1st weekend and grossed 13 crores on home box office. The movie is big budget (60 cr) film and it is under performing. It will struggle on weekday and finish 1st week around 18 crores. 



The film did below average business on Sunday and accumulated 5 crores. It received negative reviews and negative public response so future of movies is almost fixed. It cannot even recover half of production cost.

Kai Po Che did stupendous business on 1st weekend and grossed 18.25 crores. It will continue its performance on weekday and can finish first week with a handsome amount, 27 crores.


The movie did stupendous business on Sunday and grossed 7.50 crores. It already got excellent reviews and exceptionally well public response so it will rule on the box office.

Special chabbis finished 3rd week and accumulated 1.85 crores. Now it is available on limited screens so collection will come in that ratio. 
  

The movie completed 17 days run and grossed 63 crores on home box office and 13.50 crores on international box office. Worldwide collection is 76.50 crores. 

The received hit status but super hit status is difficult owing to the news film in third week.

Zila Ghaziabad & Die Hard 5 1st Day Collection

Zila Ghaziabad started badly on Friday and accumulated about 2.50 crores. The movie got bad reviews and bad word of mouth that's why future of movies is in dark. 


 
It will get tough competition with Kai Po Che. If it will get good jump on Saturday and Sunday then movie will improve otherwise fate is almost fixed. It will be counted as one of the big flop of the year.

                             A Good Day To Die Hard 5

A Good Day To Die Hard 5 too has very ordinary opening. The movies did an average business on multiplex and poor performance on single screens. There is not much hope with this film. If it earns some positive world of mouth then it will improve on coming days otherwise it will flop.

Kai Po Che 1st Day Collection

Kai Po Che started on positive note from morning show. Occupancy in the morning show was about 30% and it grew up as day grows. The movies gets awesome reviews and positive response of public. 

The movie accumulated 4.25 crores on home box office. The movie will take benefit of positive word of mouth and gather huge amount on next two day. Weekend Collection will come around 14-17 crores and first week about 22 crores.

 

ABCD Anybody Can Dance 2nd Week Collection

ABCD Anybody Can Dance finish 2nd week fantastically and collected 12 crores. Now total domestic collection is 41 crores. 

This is a small budget film with new face  and surprise gift for film industry. The already got hit status. Now it is almost out of theaters. 

Murder 3 1st Week Collection

Murder 3 finished 1st week and collected 19.60 crores. The film had started slowly on Friday and collected 13 crores plus on 1st weekend. The movie received good critics reviews but could not received positive audience response; therefor struggle on weekdays.

on 22nd February, it will be out of theaters. Film failed to impress audience but recovered production cost and treated as average film. It will finish lifetime with 22 crores.

Special Chabbis 2nd week Collection

Akshay Kumar's film Special Chabbis which is directed by Neeraj Pandey finished 2nd week and collected 18.50 crores. The movie had collected 13 crores on 2nd weekend and about 6 crores on weekdays. Now total domestic collection is 64 crores. 

The movie has also did well on overseas centers and collected 13.50 crores. After completion of 2nd week total worldwide collection is 77.50 crores. It will collect more than 15 crores on overseas centers. and lifetime worldwide collection would come around 86 crores.

Since it is still availabe on good number of screens after releasing 3 new films so it will collect around 7-10 crores in 3rd week.

ABCD Anybody Can Dance 2nd Day, 2nd Tuesday Worldwide Collection

ABCD Anybody can dance continues good business in 2nd week. The movie did good business on 2nd Tuesday and collected 0.90 crores. Now, totoal worldwide colletion is 40 crores

The movie is giving good competition to Special Chabbis and Murder 3. Next Friday it will be available on very few screens due to new release. Right now, life time collection seems to be about 45 crores.

Murder 3 12th day Worldwide Collection collection

Murder 3 struggles on weekday. Continuous fall on week days is continue and it adding a poor amount on each passing day. The movie is getting tough competition from Special Chabbis and ABCD AnyBody Can Dance. The film collected 1.60 crores on Tuesday which help it accumulate 17 crores on HBO and 19 crores worldwidely.

It will finish 1st week with 20 crores. 2nd week would be difficult because two new film is releasing. Right now, lifetime collection seems to be 25 crores.

Special Chabbis 12th Day Worldwide Collection

Special Chabbis is steady in 2nd week and continuously adding good amount to the total. in short span of 12 days it collected about 60 crores on HBO and 73 crores worldwidely. It is still giving tough competition to ABCD and Murder 3.

The movie did good business on Tuesday and accumulated 1.50 crores and will finish 2nd week with 18 crores. If it can manage 10 crores in 3rd week then it would be considered a decent amount, because it will lose some more screens on Friday due to two new release "Kai Puchi" and "Zila Gaziabad".

Right now life time HBO Collection would come around 72-75 crores and worldwide collection around 85-88 crores.

Murder-3 4th Day Collection

Murder-3 finished first weekend and collected 13 crores plus and started weekday but fail to pass litmus test. Film showed over 60% drop on Monday and accumulated only 2 crores, which bring total domestic collection around 17 crores.

It will finish first week with 19 crores. Way in second week would be very difficult. In a clear word,  Film fails to impress people and now ticket counter looks for audience. Once again Bhatt banner disappointed public after Jishm-2.

Special Chabbis 11th Day Worldwide Collection

Special Chabbis did awesome business on 2nd weekend and collected more than 10 crores. It continues its performance on 2nd Monday and collected 2.40 crores which is a decent amount. Now, after 11 day, it collection reached beyond  57 crores on Homebox office and 13 crores on overseas box office. 


There's no affect of new film Murder-3. So far,film did well and collected 70 crores plus worldwidely. It will maintain its performance on coming days and 2nd week collection would come around 17-19 crores.
